About Essembl

The stylist that dresses you from your own closet.

Essembl is an AI personal stylist app for iPhone and Android that digitizes your wardrobe and puts together outfits from clothes you already own, for people who have a full closet and still feel they have nothing to wear.

Nine complete outfits in nine different personal styles laid out in a row on a long linen table

Features

What Essembl does

A digital wardrobe from your photos

Take photos or a short video of your clothes, or let Essembl scan your iPhone photo library for outfits you have already worn. Every piece is cut out onto a clean background and tagged with type, color, fabric and fit.

An outfit picked for you every morning

Today shows complete outfits from your own wardrobe, matched to the local weather and what the day is for. Get them as a morning notification or on your home screen with the Essembl widget.

Outfit ideas for any plan

In Studio, pick an occasion or type your own (“dinner with his parents”) and swipe through outfit ideas built from your closet. Drag pieces on and off the board, swap one, and tap Rate me for a score and tips.

Rate my look

Take a photo of what you are wearing and get a score out of 10, what works, what could be better, and every piece matched to your wardrobe. Preview suggested changes on your own photo before you change.

Should I buy this?

Snap a piece in the store or screenshot it online. Essembl gives a verdict, rates it against everything you own and names the pieces it goes with, or tells you that you already have one that does the same job.

Color analysis and Shop

Find the colors that suit you from a selfie. In Shop, find a piece you spotted from a photo, see what is missing from your wardrobe, and put anything you like on the Studio board with your own clothes.

Why Essembl

What makes Essembl different

Comparisons are based on each company’s own website and store listings, checked on 21 October 2026.

It finds your clothes in photos you already have

On iPhone, Essembl scans your photo library on the device and only uploads the photos you choose, so you can build a wardrobe without photographing each item. Stylebook relies on adding and editing each item by hand, and Google Photos’ Wardrobe is limited to eligible accounts in the US, India and Brazil.

It decides, then checks

Essembl doesn’t stop at organizing your closet: it picks a complete outfit for your day every morning and gives an honest score on what you are actually wearing. Try-on avatars, such as Alta’s, show an outfit; Essembl helps you choose one and know it works.

Styling is instant, not booked

Outfit ideas, Rate my look and “Should I buy this?” answer in seconds, day or night. Services such as Indyx offer human stylists as a paid extra.

Outfits start from your own clothes

Every outfit Essembl suggests is built from pieces in your wardrobe, and a new purchase is judged by what it adds to it. The point is to wear more of what you already own.

Proven at scale

More than 2.5 million people have used Essembl, with 18 million+ pieces of clothing in their owners’ wardrobes and 86 million+ AI-assembled outfits. In July 2026 it reached the Top 50 apps on the US App Store, where it is rated 4.5 stars from more than 4,800 ratings.

Who uses Essembl

How Essembl works

  1. Tell it about your style

A short set of questions covers your style and the occasions you dress for. An optional selfie adds a color analysis.

  2. Add your clothes

Scan your iPhone photo library, take photos, or film a slow pan of your closet. Items are processed in the background and appear in your wardrobe as they are ready.

  3. Get dressed

Ask for an outfit, open the daily looks, or check a purchase. Save the outfits you like; the stylist learns from them.
